Re: ASSISTANCE REQUIRED PLEASE!!

Adding your location to your 'profile' will help.. Are you in Brisbane, Perth etc... I know where there may be one in Brisbane.

Re: Should I restore a 94?

I think you have answered your own question.. Yes, I am afraid you are crazy....unless of course you have unlimited funds so you can pay someone else to do the job. The price of old rexs has fallen a fair bit in recent years but the price of parts has increased and you could eeeeasily spent $10k reb...

Re: Engine immobiliser

There is a proceedure to reset the code. Do a search... disconnect the battery , hold down "0" while someone else reconnects the battery then input the code ..or something like that. We have removed the crappy brant systems and replaced them with Mongoose .

Re: Engine immobiliser

Not without the original code... Have a look through all your owners manuals etc in case they wrote it down, also have a look on the spare key fob ...Subaru will sort it in less than an hour........but they will probably charge for 3-4 hours...LOL..They are more trouble than they are worth. Get it r...

Re: Opinions on current setup and possibly upgrades

Should be more than 152 but it depends on the tuner and the dear chosen to do the run. With 18psi you should be making 180-200 but something else may be letting it down. My first thought was you didn't mention injectors..No use haveing big turbo= lots of air and big ic to cool it and a big exhaust t...

Re: New GC8 99 Owner .... Mods

Thanks MV... I actually downloaded that yesterday and I am still learning how to use it.. I am lucky that my "free" limit on PB has not been reached so the hundreds of pics I have posted are still visible. Soooo many people have lost entire build thread pics, avatars etc.

Have done several drag meets over the years... Used to drag my Monaro down at the Surfers Paradise strip back in the 70s.. Let us know what times you pull.. Also make sure you have an Australian Standards Approved helmet with the appropriate stickers fitted or they may turn you away.. They are not f...

Re: New GC8 99 Owner .... Mods

Check your rear mounting brackets for the sway bar.. where it joins the body of the car. If you have increased the swaybars with thicker ones..eg 22mm or 24mm it puts extra strain on the mount brackets and they have been known to snap off. Mine did and really put a damper on a spirited mountain driv...

Re: FORESTER GT - STI EJ257 SWAP - Buying advice.

Someone has over capitalized on their Forester.. Nice car , and probably a hoot to drive but it is just a 17year old GT Forester.. not an sti Forester so despite probably spending almost twice that much on the car, at $11k it is overpriced... Hard lesson to learn when pouring big bucks into old cars...

Re: STI Wing fitment issues

What do you mean, the spoiler or the car... If you mean the car is the same then that spoiler wont fit.. I think I have that around the correct way. My daughters Bug is not here to confirm .Either way I think that spoiler is off the wrong model for that car..

Re: STI Wing fitment issues

Looks like you are trying to put a bugeye spoiler on a peanut. The profile of the peanut is different with a more pronounced drop onto the boot lid from the mudguard.. The bugeye boot is a lot flatter...What is your car... 03 is the change over year from bug to peanut.

Re: Is there a Gold Coast Subie club?

I used to be a member of the QLD club but, as stated, there wasn't much going on and days would pass without a post on the site and the outings were usually weekend processions in the Sunday driver traffic. The Lakeside track days were always fun but they were very rear and all you really get for yo...
