Re: Wheel alignment values after lowering 2015 WRX

Actually now that I have had a look at my spec sheets, the toe is in degrees on the Eibach specs and mm in the tyre shop. I don't know what difference that makes; however, maybe my rear toe isn't off the mark (just a conversion issue). So maybe it is just the rear camber on one side is a little out...

Re: Buying MY18 WRX STi, every dealer saying "1 in compound". Being lied to?

bassblaster - sorry to hear that you're getting the "run around" from various dealers :thumbsdow: And I agree with you, it would be nice to simply be told the truth about delivery lead times. My take on it is that within the Subaru Melbourne "Group" of Dealers, only STI Docklands...

Re: KYB Excel-G's on a 2010 sedan

I'm now on my 2nd x set of KYB Excel G's with lowered H&R springs, albeit on my MY00 GC8, not a later 2010 model like yours. But for what it's worth, I don't think the Excel G's are a good/ideal match for the H&R's (which are a little lower than Eibachs) as they were not designed to be paire...

Re: For the love of a classic - MY99 GC8

Wow...very interesting feedback/advice from your suspension guy yesterday (re ditching the MCA's for something more compliant). So can you tell us (yet) which coilovers he is suggesting & installing? Re the bnib MCA's you have for sale in the Forum For Sale section - are they not the updated val...

Re: For the love of a classic - MY99 GC8

I'm on a very basic setup of H&R springs with KYB Excel-G shocks (basically OEM replacement KYBs) plus Adjustable 22mm Whiteline swaybars front & rear with the Whiteline heavy duty endlinks, plus a Cusco Front Strut Brace. I'm now on the 2nd set of new KYB Excel-G's with the H&R's given ...

Re: For the love of a classic - MY99 GC8

WOW   what a great result on those stock 16" rims......you must be happy with that!! Well done for trying different methods to clean them up until you found the best option  And thanks also for your detailed reply on the MCA's and your suspension challenge, appreciate it.....

Re: For the love of a classic - MY99 GC8

crembz - hope you don't mind but I thought I'd bring the suspension discussion over to your build thread rather than sabotage the 'Wanted to Buy' post. Very nice combo the Bilstein/Eibachs if that's the way you end up going - will be very interested to hear what your suspension guy recommends to you...

Re: Gc8 coilovers

Thanks crembz & my apologies as I noticed the spring rates in your 'build thread' AFTER I posted the above  So both sets are 7kg Front/5kg Rear? If so, yes I agree that's plenty stiff for spirited street & occasional track duties. Out of interest, why are you thinking of selling them? ...

Re: Gc8 coilovers

crembz - just to clarify, you have 2 sets of MCA Blues becoming available (one set new and one set near new)?

What spring rates front & rear on each set?

MY05 WRX OEM Stereo Head Unit – FREE to Good Home

I Purchased this MY05 WRX OEM Stereo Head Unit from a fellow forum member years ago with the intention of installing in my GC8, but never did - has since been sitting in a sealed box under the bed. N.B. Does NOT come with the wiring harness/loom (as I purchased the unit without the loom). FREE to go...
