Re: 08+ wrx upgrade to brembos

Thanks. Are those the current STi front calipers you're using or did you just paint a set to match the rears?

Re: Help removing the grill on an MY09/10 (same on MY08&MY11?)

Thanks mate.

Is there a second horn hidden somewhere obscure that I can't see? I'm replacing it with something not so useless

Help removing the grill on an MY09/10 (same on MY08&MY11?)

Hi guys. is there a way to remove just the grill on the MY09/10 bumper without removing the bumper or doing major surgeory? Removing the 8 trim clips on top looks like it should do it but it feels like the bottum of the gril is mounted to something which I couldn't feel fishing around there. Without...

Re: MY11 STI Spec R - how much?

When my sister picked up her Mk 6 GTi (which is a much better car than I expected or would like to admit) she came away with most of the options for about 50 grand by taking the Adidas special and having Dad do the buying to use his Australian Dental Association discount. The way they do the reversi...

Re: 2009 CLUTCH WOWS

Yes it is abuse thinking the car was bullet proof done quite a few launches by dropping the clutch at 5000rpm. But I have learnt the error of my ways and will never to it again I promise. I know if I do I will be up for a new gearbox. And then I will be crying Better 5000 rpm than 4000 rpm but stil...

OK, I know the golf r is a great car and I would love to try one out but I didnt like the way steve.b phrased his answer. If we follow his advice we would all be driving a yaris. Re: MY11 STI Spec R - how much?

They are 35k in the USA, why bother with one at 74k. Subaru needs to wake up and smell the coffee.......or end up with a falconesque crash in sales. Buy a second hand 09/10 WRX - excellent value for performance. you do realise that is not a wacky anomaly exclusive to subaru - cars are generally muc...

Re: shannons insurance, how much are you paying? price hike?

MY00 garaged in ringwood, insured with shannons for $1600 P/A with an agreed value of $13,000. although my excess is $900 because im 24, and will drop to $400 in a years time.... I didn't know Shannons (or anyone other than JustCar) would insure you with a WRX under 25. Nobody wanted to talk to me ...

Re: Subaru BRZ Spy CGI Images

Initally the plan was for the Subaru version to be a premium AWD turbo that would sit above the STi with higher equipment levles. Like the Monaro was to the SS. Then the AWD verient was cancled. Subaru have anounced new generation direct injected 1.6 and 2 litre turbo engines. Either should do the t...

Re: 09 WRX intercooler water spray

I'm running the AVO kit with a Cusco controler. Overall it's a good result but there's only so much you can get out of them. Unless you're driving hard you're not going to get a notisable difference on anything short of a 30 degree day. On the 08 onwards you need to be mindfull of the bonnet hinges ...

Lotus I think have come in leaps and bounds since the start of the year. Will be interesting to see how they go for Part 2 of 2010. Ada///M. They're the only new team with the budget and resources to attempt to compete properly. Richard Branson doesn't want to spend the money and HRT don't have the...

Grats Webber you bloody champ! Exciting race from start to finish. Oh and loving vettel's drive through penalty only to see him act like a child and basically told to shut his mouth when driving in after the race. Even during the post race interview he shows an abundance of arrogance. 8? Rounds lef...

Re: The Official 2010 WRX Club F1 Thread

Ok, this dead horse has been well and truly been flogged to pieces.

Time for a new point of discussion: Red Bull's front wing. Is it flexing? If so, are they brfeaking the rules or have they found a clever way to do it within the rules?

What are everyone's thoughts?
