02 STi turbo

Hi guys, can someone please confirm for me what the standard turbo supplied on an 02 STi is?
I've read that it's a VF22 but would appreciate some advice.
Cheers
Dave.

Re: Brake pads and rotors

Sounds right for Subaru. They wanted to charge 4.5k to replace pads and rotors on my 06STI, or if i wanted to go after market they would only charge 2.8k. :wall: I bought new slotted/dimpled rotors for the front and rear and Hawk HPS pads, changed them myself as well as replacing the brake fluid wit...

Re: 12.5 quarter mile true or false?? Confused :/

Whilist i can appreciate the thrill of driving fast in a straight line for 400m or whatever they deem a quarter mile to be now, for mine it just seems like a waste of resources! By resources i mean the RALLY car you've strapped your arse into.
Now if they put a couple of bends in the quarter.... :)

A question for debate.

With everyone doing mods to their cars, having them tuned and speaking about the resultant power gains my question is  ; Has any one had(we'll take an 06 STI for instance) a standard car, no mods, tuned to see if any power/torque gain is available :?: If not(other than cost),why not? Just a qu...

Re: Whiteline swaybar links warning

Sheet, after seeing the visual difference between the A and B/C links, the question is why would put them on in the first place, and why replace same for same if it broke.
I can't believe that they are HD links. I'd hate to see the standard duty ones...could be just a tent peg been shaped!

Re: hi just got a 1993 wrx sti 2 door coupe how rare is it

Why have you bought it at auction and looking to sell it? Are you a wholesaler or just a private seller looking to make a profit? Or have you found out the vehicle is dodgy? private seller im not going to hide the fact that it is what it is when i sell it im sure some1 will still be keen despite th...

Parking light wiring problem

Hi Guys, I was cleaning the interior of Rex during the week  and when i got out and walked around, I noticed that the parkers were on! hmmm I went back and checked the stalk to find the lights off and the keys not even in the ignition. nervous I wasn't using any sprays, only a damp cloth so ...

Re: The daily driver WRX tyre thread.

Just replaced standard Adrenalin RE001 after 32000k's with Potenza S001's. The guys at Bridgestone Select in Ferntree Gully were great and did a top job too! Bridgestone are currently running a "4 for the price of 3" thing, so i couldn't go wrong. Bridgestone Potenza S001 (supercedes RE050...

Re: steering wheel repair... ?

I wondered if anyone knew how to replace the crappy airbag steering wheel from my MY97, and to fit a jap nardi non-airbag wheel instead. I took mine off, but found there was a circular airbag/indicator connector which didn't match up to the older nardi wheel. Are adaptor kits available? Q/ Why woul...

Re: Defects and pit inspections

I don't get it. You bought a defected car but are worried about defects! Firstly, do you have a list of the defects, as that would be a good place to start? Second, are you in Vic or NSW? If Vic then i would assume that you are having the car re registered, which brings me to the third point, if you...

Thanks for the replies guys. Is that to say that the learning ECU won't remap itself to compensate for the higher octane?
