Agreed.
Great challenging little circuit with some blind corner exits and plenty of bumps that keep you busy.
Well done everyone involved

You dont say where in Melb you are but Gotitrex in Sunshine will give you some no Bull5h17 advice on the options available.
That would be my first point of call even if I had to tow the car there.
Good luck with it

Re: My MY06 WRX (WREKT)

Clean the overflow bottle and monitor it Does it start quickly on all 4 without turning over forever then headgasket might be ok. Dyno run will answer tune problems. Td04 wont go 200kw , look for s/h Sti turbo top mount and injectors Brandt alarms are a nightmare, they can cause any number of runnin...

Re: My MY06 WRX (WREKT)

Hi, Looks Good for $5500 If timing belt was done at 100k It needs that again. Are you going to keep it for long? If so the 250k service seems about right From the driveability issues It sounds like it needs to be run on the dyno to check the tune. Coolant could just be spillage from topping up the o...

Re: buying second hand MY06-07 STI

Sorry I have the Tumbler valves ( which are US spec ) confused with the secondary air pump which are to do with emissions at start up I think. From what I have read they stuff up and throw cells but can be deleted/replaced. As a general rule the STIs are tough little cars. High Klms wont kill them b...

Re: buying second hand MY06-07 STI

Ringland failures on early 257 engines mean many have been rebuilt. I think 18-19 psi is upper limit on the orig motors, someone might correct me on that. Forged rebuilds are bullet proof and will take extra boost as long as tune is good. Tumbler valve delete is the other thing to look at on these e...

Also forgot to say in such heat there were still some really good times so congrats to those who did PBs, the next round would be even better! Also want to say Kyle's new STI RAR looks like a beast. One of those cars I would purchase emotionally. And Steve this video here - https://m.youtube.com/wa...

Re: 2017 Round 2 - Winton - 11th March

Thanks to Motorsport committee and all the volunteers who put on the day for us. Track had no grip at all for the first session but that soon changed as rubber went down and so did the times. Shame it got a bit hot in the afternoon but other than that another fun day out with a few PB's set by peeps...
