Rear bracing in a GD sedan, what is everyones pick?

So I've got the front end sorted now. I installed some fender braces and man, they are so worth it. Better than a strut bar. Steering is much lighter and precise, it really is even after the new rack bushings, and they took out a lot of slop on their own. Now I want the rear to be a bit tighter, wha...

Re: BOV for MY11

GFB. I've got the response with the conversion kit. If I backed the adjuster out a bit more it would be more pssht rather than the bit of stu-do-do. But I like the stu-do-do when on low boost.

Oh yea, pass on that then. That's just general what to look for in a car. :) What I said was too, but more particularly to look out for on these. Also get the recall history too if the airbag was done.

Re: Opinions on MY10 CS10

Check the oil filler cap for a milkshake substance, also run the car with the top tank cap off to check for excessive bubbling, (while cold of course, don't open a hot top tank cap). All point toward head gaskets. And check around the head covers, particularly at the back sides and the suspension an...

Re: Lifting WRX for light offroad/unsealed back country use

You might need new shocks straight up as it is. But for your proposal, if you don't need clearance then don't lift, do go for smaller wheels and larger tyres. You'd want something with a 50 sidewall for sure which I think may be a 16" wheel, or go even smaller to a 15" wheel and get a 55/6...

Re: Double din head units MY12

Probably need a gps antenna. If the plugs are the same, dunno because of how they may have got the gps plugged in. If it's a separate connector the rest should be the same. But then you also have gps controls to deal with, unless they are all just part of the screen gui with no external buttons.

Romraider logger with an openport 1.3 cable. Free ssm may show it too, just can't recall right now. Thanks for you reply, where can you get a openport 1.3 cable from? Can find Tactrix openport 2.0, and also what looks like cheap ebay copies, I'm assuming they are just later versions of the same cab...

What was the replacement? Sounds like a too small injector and needs a tune problem.

Re: 2004 WRX STARTING ISSUES

This could be tricky, or simple. Strong smell of fuel? Could be leaking injector flooding it. Could be the pump is being too weak and needs replacing. How's the fuel cap? Fuel filter? Loose fuel line clamps on the manifold? Leaking fuel pressure regulator? I know I have to leave mine with ignition o...

If you have taken it anywhere except a subaru specialist, but not subaru of corse, then I am not surprised you are getting wrong info. I would not let anyone who is not a subi workshop touch any of our rexs let alone do an engine rebuild. +1 Well, except me of course. :) Well sometimes I trust me i...

Re: Tumbler Valves - MY02 WRX

First, don't drive the car unless you have to, and don't boost it hard or you'll run the risk of running it lean or too rich depending on how the tgv's are stuck. Look on carmods Australia site for a cheaper option for that type, ($49x) or still even cheaper is the process west billet versions, ($55...

Re: MY06 Sti built engine power

Flex fuel should pick up another 25kw easy just on the change alone. Those mods done to the block are more so you can up the boost. You have already got very excellent mods, just need to take it that next step with the fuel. If you have an ecu that is already capable of taking a flex sensor input an...

Re: To buy a 08' STi Hatch or 12' WRX Hatch?

Sti if you want superior equipment as stock, or the wrx for newer and less km's. You can mod the wrx to handle as good and better than the sti, and also mod the sti. Basically with mods you can get similar handling. It comes down to the better drive line in the sti along with much better brakes. But...

Re: Engine bay pics. What did you use to make the rubber and plastic bits shiney? Ive been using tyre shine and it comes up very nice but everything sticks to it like a fly to sheet. Sand. Dust. You name it. What did you use? Tyre shine tends to just be silicone spray. Use aerospace 303, available ...

Re: MY13 WRX hatch subwoofer enclosure

That's still cool. Functional enough. Something silly like just the addition of the carpet could have thrown it off too. At the very worst you have a template to base something else off. Well that's what I told myself after I sort of customised a fog light intake. I made a splash shield to protect t...
