Re: Fitting a water spray kit on a wrx help needed

Doubtful. Pretty sure you'll need the sti boot liner and also the floor carpet is then different too to match the new bulge. That's how it is in my 03. But I got away with the floor carpet by just having it lifted next to the bulge. I'm actually using the sti intercooler spray bottle as my windscree...

Re: AFR question

Depends.

1. Same mount location as when it was tuned?
2. Same wideband?
3. Same engine load?

What you're reading is fine. Low 11 is on the top rich side as it is.

Re: 06 silver/grey WRX wagon - black bonnett scoop??

Yea, there are some other silver with black scoop pics, bugeye, etc, they'll look similar to what your car would look like. Silver with the black thing in the middle. It's either a you like it or not type of thing.

Re: 06 silver/grey WRX wagon - black bonnett scoop??

I think they look sheet, but it's an acquired taste. Just do an image search on bing / google for "wrx black scoop". You'll see plenty.

Black rims should look ok.

Re: MY98 WRX running with no 02sensor

Follow the exhaust and you'll see that there should just be one on that model. It's just operating in open loop now. If you replace the o2 it should be ok if you got a decent one. The only thing is you may notice a bit more fuel being used. Under wot it's operating in open loop anyway and ignoring t...

Re: 2004 WRX STARTING ISSUES

Ok, hopefully some melbournites could inject some specialists you could take the car to, but in the mean time, what has been tried or replaced to try and sort this out?

Ah, I think I remember now. Should have bumped the other topic.

What is the mod list if any? Like everything done including a tune, and where are you? Don't have to be exact, just a city will do.

Get it tuned with a new zorst. They take it for a drive? Could have flogged it. Clutch may just also be due.

Rear bracing in a GD sedan, what is everyones pick?

So I've got the front end sorted now. I installed some fender braces and man, they are so worth it. Better than a strut bar. Steering is much lighter and precise, it really is even after the new rack bushings, and they took out a lot of slop on their own. Now I want the rear to be a bit tighter, wha...

Re: BOV for MY11

GFB. I've got the response with the conversion kit. If I backed the adjuster out a bit more it would be more pssht rather than the bit of stu-do-do. But I like the stu-do-do when on low boost.

Oh yea, pass on that then. That's just general what to look for in a car. :) What I said was too, but more particularly to look out for on these. Also get the recall history too if the airbag was done.

Re: Opinions on MY10 CS10

Check the oil filler cap for a milkshake substance, also run the car with the top tank cap off to check for excessive bubbling, (while cold of course, don't open a hot top tank cap). All point toward head gaskets. And check around the head covers, particularly at the back sides and the suspension an...

Re: Lifting WRX for light offroad/unsealed back country use

You might need new shocks straight up as it is. But for your proposal, if you don't need clearance then don't lift, do go for smaller wheels and larger tyres. You'd want something with a 50 sidewall for sure which I think may be a 16" wheel, or go even smaller to a 15" wheel and get a 55/6...

Re: Double din head units MY12

Probably need a gps antenna. If the plugs are the same, dunno because of how they may have got the gps plugged in. If it's a separate connector the rest should be the same. But then you also have gps controls to deal with, unless they are all just part of the screen gui with no external buttons.

Romraider logger with an openport 1.3 cable. Free ssm may show it too, just can't recall right now. Thanks for you reply, where can you get a openport 1.3 cable from? Can find Tactrix openport 2.0, and also what looks like cheap ebay copies, I'm assuming they are just later versions of the same cab...
