Re: Axle back for 2016 STI

So I ended up going with a catback as I thought the axle back would be a waste of $$ and the noise won't change much. I had my eyes set on the Nvidia Q300, but got the R400 instead. Absolutely loving the rumble. I thought it'd be annoying, but it's perfect! good to hear man, the r400 are a great pr...

Re: Advan Racing GT - Will it scrub?

I'm running advanced rgiii and the size is 18x9.5 +45. id say thats perfect fitment with no need to roll guards while still looking flush. i think you will be fine with 18x8.5 +38

Re: Axle back for 2016 STI

Hi All, After posting over a year ago, I've finally jumped on the subaru bandwagon. The plan Was to get a wrx, but a 2016 sti with less than 10k on the clock popped up for a price that I could not resist. Massive upgrade from my 2000 Celica. I love the stock gurgle of the sti, but but miss having s...

Re: Mods for reduced turbo lag in city driving.

just get it tuned first with a down pipe, intake and 3 port boost solenoid. I'm sure you will be satisfied enough once thats done. also lightweight wheels and carbon fibre drive shaft would help a lot too but a bit pricey. A carbon fiber driveshaft.... Why? Because the are only around $1000, easy t...

Re: Wheel Stud and Nuts... I'm already sick of replacing them!

I'd just get stock replacement items, give the bill to the tyre shop and tell the high school dropout tyre fitters to start the nuts by hand with 3 twists of the hand next time.

Theres nothing wrong with the factory hardware its the lazy tyre fitters trying to imitate a nascar pit crew.

Re: as new MOMO MONTECARLO 320cm + NRG quick release

yes, the 6 screw holes of the wheel line up with the thread holes on the boss kit. I first used it with the wheel directly mounted to the boss kit but then i purchased the quick release kit which sandwiches in-between. the boss kit is made of cast aluminium.

Re: Catted DP VS Catless?

Some guys tested catless vs. a quality single high flow cat a few years ago. The difference was around 5kW at peak for a ballpark-250kwatw setup In my books, that's not worth screwing the planet/ endangering your health or the EPA fine for. yea the more i think about it the more i lean to catted no...

Re: Catted DP VS Catless?

All good man. Look I know where your coming from and you have a good point because I'm sure the power benefit will be negligible especially for the conservative figures im chasing. Is just all the topics similar to this on other forums end up focusing of possible fines instead of actual performance ...

Re: Catted DP VS Catless?

The stock dp's have 2 catalytic converters, both around 500 to 600cel. Most performance dump pipes with inbuilt cats have 1 high flow cat (some have 2) that are ranging between 100 to 250cel. You will fail any epa emission test as they will only have up to a quarter of the filtering power. But your ...

Re: Catted DP VS Catless?

If you're caught with any after market DP the fines are huge regardless of them having inbuilt catalytic converters or not...if your tested on the spot with anything other than stock you will fail, and if you do happen get a notice to comply which only happens if a cop notices your car to be annoyin...
