Re: 2003 WRX Steering Shudder

man its sucking in air, the hose from the PS resovoir to the pump. If the hose is hard or the clamps aren't tightening properly itl suck in air. Even possibly if you can turn the hose whilst its clamped itll still suck in air. I work at Subaru and replaced a steering rack on a forester 06 and couldn...

Re: WRX No Boost

So the turbo isn't getting any pressure? Check for any leaks man, the hose from the intercooler to manifold leaks as a common thing.

Any turbo action at all?

Re: Engine coolant wrx 2.5 2006

Just so you know the engine coolant types are Green and Blue. Vehicles from 2009 onwards used Blue long life coolant required to be replaced every 150,000kms or 6 Years.

If its green, basically any brand should do just make sure the concentration is on point.

Re: Help with engine serial number

If its what I think it is, on the block near the starter motor it will have a line of numbers example 422892. That's the end of your engine number, the beginning of it would be EJ25 or FA20, example EJ25422892 would be the engine number, if its what your after that should also be the serial number. ...

If it doesnt fix it, maybe we're chasing the wrong issue and not looking at other symptoms of running rough?

Eager to know! Take it on a road test when you can and let me know!

Re: 2004 Subaru Outback 3.0L MY05 TIMING CHAIN/BELT

Nah, timing belts are a serviceable item as they require to be replaced within a certin time/kilometre range. Timing chains on the other hand aren't a serviceable item, only replace them when they get noisy.

Re: Tuning with SSM

You cant tune with SSM. Can do a lot of cool s**t regarding lights, auto lock and auto light sensitivity etc but as far as tuning aspect no due to the fact any ECU tuning/flashing etc voids the warranty for obvious reasons.

Re: Surging at peak boost??

It'd need to have some codes appear telling you whats putting it into limp mode. O2 sensor or the AF sensor will cause it to cut into limp mode. Need to find out what memorized codes your vehicle has first.

Re: P1089 error

Highly doubt its a motor issue, sometimes the sensor itself wears out. Not hard to swap over either, if you had a SSM youd be able to confirm. My opinion just replace sensor, maybe $100?

Re: 2011 Impreza n/a timing belt tools

If its naturally aspirated then im assuming its a single ohc which means the cams wont turn/spin like the dohc unless you move them. Shouldn't nees anything more then 14mm o a 3/8 to replace the belt (not including removing of the crank. If its double, with the belt still on, turn the crank and slid...

2. Test the keyless remote battery, should be above 3.1V

Re: Overheating after head gasket replacement

Coolant bleed, 99WRX are horrible at withholding air. Bleed the coolant until the thermostat fans switch on and wait until they switch off. Should stay on for approx 30 sec.
