How much are you paying for insurance?

Is $1079/yr pretty bad for a 2004 WRX?

Never had any claims before.

it seems to be the cheapest for me (late 20s)

are there any loopholes for next renewal?

Re: How forgiving to learn manual on?

So I have it down now. I can do hillstarts too without using the hand brake. Now my first service since owning the car is coming up. I am at around 92k km. Should I get the major service done regardless? I dont think it has been done before (i think the first time recommended is 4yrs/100k km whichev...

Re: The daily driver WRX tyre thread.

Hi guys, wanting to splurge a bit on my tyres

I still have stock 17 inch 2004 wheels

current tyres are 215/45/17

what is a recommended thicker profile to fill out the wheel gap a bit that would fit on the stock wheels?

what are the pros and cons of thick vs thin wheels anyways.

What I have been doing was turn the key to on, let all the fuel pump priming noises and stuff finish, While im doing this i just do my other stuff like chuck my sunglasses on, check mirrors etc. then i turn the key fully to start the car When I just turned the key fully...

Re: How forgiving to learn manual on?

Well I have to say that for the most parts it's all coming together :D

hardest part I think now is pretty much hillstarts which I stall on at least 2 times before I finally get it.

I think I need to not be afraid to give it gas

04 WRX trouble starting sometimes?

New to WRXs and manual cars. Around 3 or 4 times since owning the car I have had trouble starting it up. It cranks but the engine doesn't start. I thought it may have been the Brant system. on two occasions it started after typing in my code. but another time it didn't. I locked the car then unlocke...

Re: How forgiving to learn manual on?

. It's normal to ride slip the clutch at parking speeds, don't worry about it. You really need to practice. It all becomes instinct and feel. How long am i allowed to use the clutch to move around. Is it bad to use only the clutch to get moving when going really slow speeds like parking or say cree...

Re: How forgiving to learn manual on?

I didn't even realise that it would have been different in other states lol. is it bad to use the clutch to slow down the car (by pushing it in more) when parking? sometimes I feel just using the accelerator and 1st gear goes waaaaay too fast, then if I use the brakes to go a bit slower I always end...

Re: How forgiving to learn manual on?

I. Give the car a rev, hold the revs I think this is the part i have trouble with the most, I think i give too much. So its always to give the revs first then start letting the clutch out. Back to the carpark again then i think. and just practice stop starting. Do I need to give more revs than norm...
