GC8 - Performance Mods

Postby GC8-99 » Mon Feb 05, 2018 7:33 pm

Hi Gents,

Just purchased my first subbie, bought a clean and stock GC8 WRX.

The car is completely standard, i've searched through a few different forums and wanted some opinions on the following. I am looking to try and achieve 200-220 KW ATW.

Firstly i am going to replace the spark plugs, turbo seems to have a small dip in power around the 3,500-4,000 RPM

Looking to go with the following;

- 3inch TBE (Stainless steel no name brand)
- intake (please recommend), BOV
- Walbro 460 LPH fuel pump
- Was thinking an STI TMI (unless you guys recommend another brand)
- Injectors ( size & brand??)
- What is the best ECU?

Thanks guys, and if you have any experience on what the above what achieve power wise please let me know.

get a good TBE like a hyperflow (used to be called turbo xs) or a xforce with single cat, if your car is an my99/00 stock injectors will be fine if you go for a vf turbo, vf30, vf34, vf48 or a vf43 should get you there, STi TMIC from a GR fit with some mods but its not hard and looks stock, add a good brand silicon intake and get a power fc with z32 AFM if your car is an my99/00 as the AFM is unreliable on these, stock airbox and GD or GR BOV is fine, link below is how to fit intercooler
