Can someone chuck in a comment on adrenalin's? I have heard them mentioned in the forums a couple of times and know absolutely nothing about them.

Got mine this weekend...Fantastic. Helped to move to 17" rims at the same time, but they are great.. Sticky, quiet, :thumbs: $280 each fitted.

Bridgestone, they're suposedly the new flagship tyre from them, a RE050A - RE070 intermediate from what ive read, both which are fantastic tyres.

Cool, but in my experience [a couple of recent quotes] I've had Potenza RE050's quoted at $350-$365 per tyre [fitted]. How can they be an 'intermediate' when they are cheaper?? or am I failing to see a difference between 050's and 050A's??

Unsure the details, my wifes car has 050's and these 001's are better.

Sorry to push the point on this one, but can someone add to this? I will be replacing tyres very soon and these sound like a good optinon to me. But I don't understand how if they are that good they work out cheaper than the RE050's. Maybe a short lifespan?

1) they are softer;
2) price is never a measure they can screw you on 050's, always have;
3) I would guess that that get to my wallet more often, as i don't expect them to last as long;

All I can say, is other type-R's these are the best tyres I have run.

Depends on what your drivers are?

Just fitted RE70's. Cost $350 per corner at Bob Jane Fyshwick (Canberra). Only come in 225/45/17 so have had a small increase over the previous RE50's 215/45/17. Slight increase in road noise but not offensive. Astonishingly grip levels in the dry & suprisingly good grip in the wet.

Had Federal SS595's on for a few months (also 215/45/17) & they are disgraceful. Extremely noisey (sounds like 4wd tyres with big tread blocks) & handling dropped off considerably from the RE50's mainly due to the supersoft sidewalls.

I was just about to get Federal 595's, any other comments on these?.
How about the Falkens?

What is the best tyre - I do mostly country commuting kms and like pushing it on the odd time (well tell me a WRX owner who doesn’t) I don’t take it to tracks and do lots of hard corners etc but just want a relatively inexpensive tyre, that’s quiet and will wear well, good in the wet as well
MY06 WRX Wagon - and lovin it!

Dont think they make these any more.
