Bugeye Steering racks (Hatch to Sedan) (different lengths)

Postby Pig_rex » Sun Sep 11, 2016 8:53 am

I'm just in the process of doing a driveline swap from my Sedan into a hatch..

I was wondering if the Sedan and the Hatch use a different steering rack.
I have alloy control arms. and it seems that the tie rods are different lengths.

Can anyone confirm this?

Cheers

Not to worry..
someone along this life fitted a different inner tie rod end... that was approx 25mm shorter.. which led to the outer rod end needing to be wound out..

I have removed both racks and will be replacing the rack ends/boots etc.
