I'm not sure if anyone has asked this, I had a quick read over the thread but didn't see the question. Will they give the AP support for lower models? I drive a 2010 please provide access.

Cobb said that, while they may, support for older AUDM WRX's is not currently in the works

I currently drive a 2016 WRX not mods just stock, would it be worth adding a Cobb accessport without any mods?

From what I've heard / seen on YouTube it's a good improvement over stock.

Hey all.
Can I use the 2015/2016 ADM WRX MT maps on my 2017 ADM WRX Premium MT?
The Cobb website says that they have off the shelf maps and "support for Australian Marked (ADM) ... 2015+ WRX and 2015+ STI".
So I'm thinking great! 2015+ =2017 support right?
But in the comments section one guy asked about support for 2017 ADM STI and was replied around a month ago that it will be supported in an upcoming release. So in this case 2015+ <> 2017?

Can the maps really be that different between the 15/16/17?

I really want a product I can put on to improve daily drivability and then remove myself before servicing. But don't want to wait around for Cobb's next update if my car isn't supported in the current maps. Maybe Ecutek is a better option?

If you are in Sydney, go see the boys at The Rumble Shack in Wetherill Park.
MY17 is not supported yet but the boys are able to flash a MY16 ROM to your ECU and the CobbAP will then work.
Otherwise you will need to wait for Cobb to release their MY17 support.

Bummer.
Nah I'm in QLD.
I really don't want to do anything that will be (easily) detected by the dealer mechanics anyway. I expect they will spot a 2016 rom pretty quick.

Jmac86, any idea on ETA for 2017 model support?

For those asking about 2008-2014 support PSR just posted this on Facebook last week:
"You asked and COBB Tuning have delivered!
Cobb have finally come to the party and developed a complete Accessport range for the 2008-2014 WRX & STI Australian models.
To celebrate we are offering $50 off Accessports for all pre-orders up until the 1st of June release date."

Thought I'd post an update as I haven't seen it mentioned here yet.
There is now support for 2017 ADM WRX and STI!
I got mine and am very happy.
Am using the Stage 1 93OCT/98RON map, tried the high waste gate version and the boost certainly came on strong, but was nowhere near as smooth to drive.
My thoughts.
-throttle mapping is much better.
-engine runs smoother from 800-1500 rpm when crawling in traffic.
- plenty more torque from 5000rpm to red line
-smoother power delivery and less boost spikes.
-more induction noise on WOT (stock intake)

Yes it's expensive, but the Cobb AP3 is a great solution that gives you flexibility with OTS maps after bolt on upgrades and easy map swapping. Plus they have excellent customer service.

Hi guys,

I have recently bought a stock as a rock 08 WRX STI hatch and was looking to improve driveabilty and give a little more oomph into the car. I found the COBB Accessport information from a heap of US guys (I have just returned from living in the US) and was excited to see it has made it's way to AUS.

Long story short, I have just ordered a Accessport, CAI, 3 inch TBE and short shifter from COBB. I am excited to see how it all goes and to see what improvements it makes. I am contemplating making a new thread for my car but I get the feeling that this forum is dead in the water. If anyone is interested I can let you know how it all goes.

Cheers

Ok, So my parts all arrived the day after I ordered them however my car is getting the front and rear bumpers repainted and I don't have the car.

I plan on doing the install over the weekend and am so excited to see how it all goes.

I will keep you informed.

My initial impressions are only of the quality of the parts and I can only judge on that so far. The parts all seem to be of a high quality especially the short shift kit.

OK so my 3" TBE and CAI have been installed and I went to install a tune that I got from the COBB website that supported my mods.

So far I have been very disappointed. My car is very laggy and requires a lot of extra throttle to launch (not a hard launch, just normal).

I am sure that there is something not right and I am in the process of working out what.

Stay tuned. Also if you have any advice I am more than happy to listen.

Thanks

I am chatting with COBB at the moment about this but am seriously looking at taking it in for a 'road' tune somewhere local and returning the Accessport. I am not really after dyno numbers, I just want a smooth powerful car that is fun to drive.

So far the accessport has not lived up to the hype but I must say that without knowing where it is going wrong I can not point the finger purely at COBB. This might be operator error on my end. I will let this play out to see if this thing is worth while.

I will keep you updated...

I checked the Cobb website, unfortunately they do not have an OTS map that works with both the CobbSF and an aftermarket TBE.
Only 1 or the other.
Maybe worth trying to either reverting the Dump pipe or intake back to stock and see how the tune goes before you give up.
Best way really is to go for a protune, worth every dollar in my experience.
