Wrx11 tuning help

Postby andyzpipe » Thu Jul 14, 2016 1:38 pm

I have my WRX 2012 tuned with a TBE and CAI currently running @ 175kw at the wheels.

When I first had it tuned last year , the tuner said that it couldn’t be tuned to its full potential because I was running bad fuel at the time , most likely a mix of 95/98 fuel. Hence, the dyno run was only @ 175 , and it had potential to go up to 190. A year later, I have filled up 98 fuel since that day and wanted to know if I need a retune, and if the fuel only affected that dyno run but not the overall tune. Would my car be running faster on the dyno now with 98 fuel inside with the same tune, or would I need a retune to recognise the new 98 fuel? The tuner did tell me to get a retune if I had time and wanted to know if this was necessary. Any assistance would be great!

Another question, would a 3 port solenoid be of any benefit if I was to get a retune too? And , any recommended tuners out there in Melbourne.

Thank you !
