Excellent choice in wheels, a personal favorite.

Hyper blue is growing on me, especially with a tidy example

Thanks mate!

I'm totally satisfied with the mods, every mod has met an surpassed my expectation on the difference they would make.
Firstly i highly recommend the carbon fibre driveshaft mod. It has made a huge difference in the feel of the car and i personally think it is responsible for atlas 5kw atw. no bad side to it either, all positive!

Everyone knows what to expect with a cold air intake, i personally love the noise it makes.

And with the exhaust set up, i chose mainly HKS stuff because i know they have the highest quality standards available and they do a lot of research, i went with the grim speed coated up pipe to save me having to coat a HKS one and i figured its not a huge deal not being HKS, plus it has a flex joint which will help with the rigid HKS equal length headers. The sound the headers make is like nothing I've ever heard before, even with other STI's that have different branded ELH these sound different to them, the only way i can describe them is they sound very refined and European, though that may be partly because of the HKS catback which is comparable to stock sound levels under normal driving conditions but puts out a nice note when driven spiritedly. We will soon find out when i have some muffler delete pipes made for track and autocross events. The down pipe is invidia because they have been tried and tested by gotitrex time and time again so they recommend them, i didn't want to go with a HKS downpipe because it was 4 times the price and has a bad reputation power wise as it has 2 catalytic converters to meet japanese aftermarket exhaust laws.

The tune is great so far, Warwick is a champion over at gotitrex. The car is now deceptively quick as it has a very linear power delivery, very un STI like. I'm content with the power, no future plans for power gains however i will look into more efficient intercooling like a water to air setup in the future.

To be honest i'm satisfied with the power and the overall feel of the car. If the engine ever has a catastrophic failure i will go all out with a built engine, e85 and big turbo.

But for now i don't want to ask any more of the stock block. if we got the ej207's like japan than e85 would be a no brainer. but i don't think theres enough long term reliability reputation for the ej257 on e85 to make me feel comfortable to do it yet.

SIMO's Hyper Blue STI

I hear what u are saying mate but I guess from my POV, it’s E85, 107RON so u are gunna have a higher knock threshold and it burns cooler. So maybe more reliable ...... or maybe not coz there’s about 30more KW passing thru the drive train LOL
Also good for the environment Hahaha
I’ve been daily flexed for the the past 30K, track days and drags, no issues except the oil change intervals need to come down to 2-3k. Not really an issue if u DIY.
All the best mate.

thanks for the info mate, ill definitely be thinking about it.

maybe i'm just too satisfied with the car at the moment lol. ill do a water to air intercooler setup soon for safety, bit of chassis tweaking to suit my driving style on the track and see how we go.
