Anyone has an idea where I can get a straw for it? I got one from the club (thanks Dirk!) but it came without the straw. I wonder where's it gone to. :|

It's been 11 years since I lasted posted in this thread LOL.
You can now get this from Nulon same stuff as what Subaru sell only about $5 - $8 cheaper per can.
I have been using it for my services.
See foaming air intake cleaner -->

The older I get the slower I drive.

Thanks for the heads up Pat

Out of interest, how many minutes do you actually leave it for after emptying the 1st half of the can in the manifold?? I realise the instructions on the Subaru supplied can says leave for 5mins, but one of the Glen Waverley Subaru Service guys once told me the longer you leave it for the better the results (eg. he suggested leaving it for up to 45mins, which I have tried)....but apart from witnessing how much white smoke pours out your exhaust once you start & purge the engine, how do you know if it's better to leave the stuff in the manifold for only 5mins, 20mins or up to 45mins as has been suggested to me hmmm

Would appreciate anyone else's thoughts on this also??

Hey Dave,

I always leave it more than 10 minutes as given my experience with cleaning carbon off car parts it needs to soak. That said I have never gone up to the 45min mark.
Also I always do it prior to dumping the oil thus on old oil. Then after emptying the can and refitting the vac line I take it for a 5-10min drive. Then I dump the oil after another 5-10 minutes has elapsed cool down.
These days given the infrequency this car is driven I do it once a year. BTW I have only traveled 16,000km since the 2010 2.5ltr engine install. So that tells you how much I drive this car.
The older I get the slower I drive.
