Just be careful when you take it for a drive after with the smoke coming out your exhaust. People may report you to the EPA!

Hey you never know!

Used it the other night and it cured my car of hard starting bad fuel economy.

My observations are this all started after using octane booster. This cleaner restored it to before that point.
Got some concerned looks from the neighbours with all the exhaust smoke and noise.
Let my friend take it for a drive and he is hooked on the car. He owns and has had many quick V8 (old school supercharged muscle) and cant believe all that power from a 2l!

This is one product that WRX owners must get their hands on!
Unless you've been sending your car to Subaru for service 8)

p/s - Smoke screen was cool

:!: Note for 1st timers - make sure u wait long enough before you start your engine after you've sprayed in the first half of the can*

is it just me, but how slow does that stuff come out of the can??

might just be the angle required for my04...

yeah it takes some time. And is it right for the can to feel as though it's still got heaps more in it when it's not spraying anymore?

We sprayed it into the manifold from the BOV vacuum hose. But i didn't see any smoke coming out when we started her up and tried to rev it out....
There are only 2 things you need in your toolbox... Duct Tape and WD40.

If it moves and it shouldn't, Duct Tape!
If it doesn't move and it should, WD40!

Yeah I dont reckon I got the most out of it as I thought more had gone in than had. Its a sheet angle into that inlet on the 01+.
Got more in once the car was running though, the vacuum assited, and I got a little puff of smoke.
Considering its just been sold to me from Docklands it may have already been done.
Got to be an easier way with the new models?

Used this product yesterday after reading this post. Excellent product! Smoother idling and smoother accel. A lot of smoke came out during 2nd half of the can on ildle, but after, it was smooth running. Paid $17.50 @ Glen Waverly Subaru. It feels like brushing your teeth, but for the engine instead. Great advice guys. Glad to see Subie owners helping each other out. :) Thanks.

I havn't got a photo for yas, and excuse my lack of knowledge on this subject (i.e. terminolagy) but The guy at Subaru Glenwaverly told me I can spray it in the spot you guys said (my99/00) AND to spray it in what I remember to be the "turbo intake"??? sounds wrong I know, but its just above the air box, black plastic thing that connects to turbo entrance. You take off a hose and spray it in there too.

Anywho, Love the product works great every time.

Well, Subaru are closed today, so, I went to Repco and Autobarn to see if they had any Subaru Upper Engine Cleaner and neither of them had any idea whatsoever about what I was after :(

Geez...how old is this thread.....!!!!

Anyway.... the Sti had been running rough lately as it has been coming on boost...just a bit of a flat spot...and then not running as hard as i would expect up to peak revs...very annoying.
At the Sti dyno day it had a crap result.... had it tuned locally and it was still flat and the mechanic had another look at it this arvo and suggested some of this Subaru Upper engine cleaner...i gave him one of those "yeah sure.." type looks but he insisted it may do the trick...
So i gave it a go, as instructed on the can, in the above spot... not much smoke but lots of nasty smells...and Hey presto....POWER.....!!!!
What a freakin difference...No flat spots and it screams through the rev range.

Highly recommended.

Update****
Since doing the flush the car went back to its old habits within a week or two....not as bad as before but the flat spot was defiantly back.
Not sure why, the mechanic did play with a few thing before the spray can was applied...
But today Vin fixed it...!
