Was a great day at Sandown! Thanks to Kiel i had a great battle and unfortunately for me got pipped by 3 tenths at the end mate, and also Kiel did a new Street Class lap record by 0.1s, great driving! I get it back next time lol Just want to say i hope more guys like Kiel and myself come out to race in Street Class, reason for this class's existence is to be able to have motorsport fun as cheaply as possible. I have moved down from Clubman because to be competitive you really need to spend some $$ on modding and just r spec tyres, new wheels and coilovers can set you back $10k. So Street Class is definitely the class to be in if you don't want to go broke while having fun.

Now who is excited for Rd 4 Subinats 2017!! Hope more VIC guys show up and take back some PI glory :D

Cant say I agree with clubman being to expensive.... I dropped back to clubman this year because I started to think a Sprint class car was beginning to become fairly expensive, a very fast car can be built in Sprint now and the guys are showing that in their times.

Having said all that Id estimate a very large amount of the people modding their Rex's for street use, if run through the mod sheet, would more than likely be looking at a minimum of Sprint class possibly Super Sprint......

So Its a fairly fine line for the motorsport team to enable us to make a fast enough car to enjoy rather than a boring thing you need to throw around. End of the day the budget will dictate a class for most people but if carefully thought through the classes work beautifully, there are a lot of points in the mod sheet that dont translate into times.......

Haha fair enough. Depends how deep people's pockets are I guess, Clubman made me pretty broke and the mrs on the verge of divorce lol Throwing low powered cars around is fun in its own way. really need to nail the lap for a good time so it improves our driving imo :D but I dream of also having a full aero race car one day haha.
