Thanks :)

It's an Outback 2.5L and the BOV is a really really old turbosmart type 1 BOV.

The sti is progressing well, set a new outright Subaru lap record at pi today. Still got about 80 kW in reserve which is promising.

Cheers. Happy to share mate, its an ADM 2002 STI shell and the specs are an open deck 2.5L with some old forgies, manley rods, 264 cams, std head gaskets, ARP2000's and a GT35R, race tune at the moment is about 270 kw atw with 18-19 psi, 2 degrees timing pulled just for safety for the time being (it will make 370 kW at 26 psi but need to finish the close deck block first). Microtech efi, bosch fuel pump, bosch 1700cc's, e85, BC coilovers (for gc8 oops), std subframes, small port my99 heads which I gave a bit of a port and polish with my die grinder on the inlets. NA manifold with NA injector rails a a parallel rail conversion. Turbosmart fuel pressure reg set to standard pressures.

Eboost 2 for boost control, close ratio 6MT DCCD box with second hand exedy organic heavy duty clutch (thanks bee) std wrx 4 pots on front and 1 pots on the rear and MY99 16" rims with 225 slicks. Bond roll cage, harness, hans and that's about it. Weighs around 1275 kg. Stock WRX wing on the back (big one broke last week), splitter and flat floor / diffuser. Stock single scroll sump, EWG, 50mm radiator core ebazy, 100 mm FMIC from ebayz (11 years old lol) and a ridiculously huge ebayz oil cooler. It stays very cold on the track, 75-80'C... might need to put the thermostat back in hmmm. Think that's about it.

Congrats to both for doing low-mid 40s , pretty sure more to come and that is great news for us at Subinats! :D especially Bazza lifting and coasting before turn 1 (because no rear wing or brakes?), heaps of time there! Thanks for sharing your car specs :)

Had a good day with the HTCAV at Calder Park circuit today. Was able to sort out the car and start getting a good feel about how it responds to suspension and aero changes.

They implemented the little chicane after the first chicane on the back straight but I don't think it does an awful lot in slowing us down, still managed a 1:01:53 which is a new Subaru lap record... even had the 17 kg passenger seat in it lol.

Calder Hotlap from yesterday. Wouldn't have happened had it not been for the GotItRex team who helped me diagnose / fix a timing belt skipped tooth in the first session

The speed at which this thing takes the kink gives me good hope for the high speed turns at PI.

Great work Barry, how was the kink compared the event you did there the previous week? i assume unfortunately tighter?

The 2nd kink was very different unfortunately - worth about 2-3 seconds compared to last week.

Hey Barry was hoping to see you smash 1min but unfortunate you lost so much track time from the issue. Your car sounds and looks crazy though, what a beast. :D

Yep as far i understand, AASA have now specified how the chicane must be set up so it is not longer open to interpretation.

Honestly i don't know if the extra chicane makes it any safer, if someone dives into it too hot and on the exit lands a rear wheel on the grass and overcorrects its going to be a big mess anyway. I would rather be going straight when i crash into something than sideways. I am not sure what speeds people are managing through there but i think i was able to sneak through around 140-150 km/h in 4th. How do the other drivers feel about it?

140kms, Really?

I was doing a little over 100... I had my own braking issues though so I may not be a good guide.

I thought it would have been safer set up in the opposite way, pushing you into the infield.

Tbh i didn't look down on the speedo but i definitely didn't brake much, check out this lap in my last session at 3:02 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i7kTQ1M-nic i was in 5th gear before the chicane, pretty much lifted off accelerator maybe a quick stab of the brakes and in i went, and you can see that was probably the limit there as i was very close to being on the grass. Interestingly this lap of me chasing the RX7 felt so quick but was 1.5s slower than my PB lap where i went through the chicane using 4th.

Nah the above lap i did a 1:09.2 according to natsoft 1.4s slower than my PB. The 1:07.8 lap in Session 11 was the one i am 100% certain i did a 1:06.9 :giggle:
