Just did my mod sheet... And came in with a score of 320!! But I wanted to put on brembos, so that will bump me up to 360... Which will put me in super sprint... My car is rwd,, but there's nothing about that on the list!! Could you let me know if I loose points for that? Thanks!!

Oh no. Forgot to add on exhaust. I'm up to 360 already.. With brembos that'll push me to 400!!!
Another question. If I have 2 cars that fall into the same category, can I switch between cars? Or is it one car per person, if you know what I mean!!??

Hi Tyrone,

Unfortunately there is no points concession for having RWD instead of AWD.

360 points and 400 points are both in sprint so the brembos not affect your class.

If both cars are in the same class, that should be ok. Ill have to check how the clerk of course wants to run that.

Hi Tyrone,

360 points is definitely sprint.
Feel free email your mod sheet to motorsport@wrx.com.au

Please also note note you need to be a WRX club member in order to compete in the championship.

Thanks,
Kurt

Oh ok. I get it now. I thought sprint class was up to 330 points. But it's from 330 to 420!! Correct??
If I come do PI as a non member, see how I like it,, then join after that if I do. Will my first round score be counted?

Hi Tyrone, correct sprint is 330-419points.

Unfortunately if you decided to join later we could not retrospectively allocate you points. This would throw out other competitors points in your class.

Our rules also do not allow this either.

Do you have a current CAMS affiliated club membership and a CAMS L2S license? As you will need for Phillip Island.

Thanks,
Kurt

I just checked and my current car club membership expired at the end of the year, so looks like I will have to join just to attend the day... I have a cams LS2 licence

Hi Kurt,

Maybe a stupid question, but are Hankook R-S3 considered to be a R Spec tyre?

Cheers

Hey Jeremy funnily enough I asked the same question last year I think because when looking through CAMs regs then it said the RS3 was classified R Compound, but it's not really. :)

Only 4 entrants in Sprint Class so far.....

Anyone else thinking they'll run in sprint that hasn't registered yet?
