Yep, it was only upset without the wing. The splitter and undertray work too well, and needs the wing on.

sheet Bazza, how much? :D In all seriousness what happened to it?

Its awesome seeing so many people turning up for this event, we need a WRX/STI to crack 1:44 soon though to give the CMA car a run for its money during Subinats

Was a cracking event as usual! Some footage I grabbed, showing some of my break shudder (need to sort that out) as well as an s2000 running off (and an evo nearly going with). Looking forward to the next one!

Great job by Kurt and all the team involved in running another great day! :cheer: :cheer:
We all certainly got very lucky with the weather!! pimp nerd
Was a blast as always to share times and stories with others, like Zhi, T. Wong, James Teagues ( Who had his fare share of frustrations during the day, but managed to keep his cool very well, and get some valuable track time in) and thanks to Jeremy Krazy Katz, coming to visit us all the way from his number 1 garage spot!! Haha...
Thanks to Aleck and Vinn, for there help also, even with there busy schedule, managed to come hang with us cooly crew! GotitRex... :drunk:

And after looking at my GoPro footage, in comparison to all the good on board footage from others, it's easy to see where I can make up time and crack the 2mins... Almost there, , but still manage to knock about 9 secs off previous best from last year..

So very keen to get back there for SubiNats, and give it more... :giggle:

I had a fantastic day on Saturday, thanks to all involved.
Here is a video of my fastest lap for the day, after viewing it I can see plenty of room for improvement.

Steve Glenney did a 1:43.3 on AD08Rs in my car (last year while helping me set up the car for WTAC).

Can provide video if required.

Wow.. what car and specs? The driver makes a massive difference, but sounds like your car is some serious beast too.

Yeah I've seen the video Adin and the build thread. Not bad at all.

http://www.iwsti.com/forums/gd-members- ... rs-85.html

A huge mod list and I think you even sent the car to the USA to get it tuned? For interest sake what does that cost and how does one do that... my sister lives near Laguna Seca.... hmmmmm.

Why don't you enter the Calder Park event coming up, looking at natsoft you've only done one official event in total (wtac) so might be some good practice for you. I expect Aleck will smash the old record and probably go sub 1 min... 800 bhp sequential goodness ftw.

Hello Idin,

is the timing on Natsoft? otherwise unfortunately its not official.

Regardless, i would love to see the video! Maybe worthwhile sharing on the SubiNats page too if you are OK with that?

very impressive time for street tyres!

It's on the first page of the build thread I linked. Steve glenney shows us some good lines and brake points to take note of.

Thanks guys.

Tbh I do not feel too strongly about recognition of the laptime specially considering it is a GPS timing and not an official reading as Kurt pointed out.
It was just during shakedown and Steve was not even trying but you know he is very very quick without trying. :-)
I was doing high 1:45s with me in the car and 1:47 with Steve mentoring.

The car won Skyline nationals time attack 2013 on stock turbo, IC and engine. So essentially two official "car" events for me.

The car has been in the build for two year, only to crack a liner during dyno (long story which I will share when I have enough objective info).
It did 3-4 laps in WTAC, again Steve was generous enough to give me a reference lap of an easy 1:42 and I did a 1:45.5 on my first sighting lap after him...shortly after, overheating...

As bazza mentioned, the car is in US, undergoing development by my supporter Element Tuning and may run Global Time attack Rd Atlanta in May.

The car will (fingers crossed) will be back for Subinats 2016 hopefully. If it makes it in time me and Steve will share the driving. Hoping for a high 1:30 with new developments.

Hope that answers all questions. AS mentioned, the laptime info is merely for info. I do not feel too strongly about it at all. However, if we make it in time, we will try to do well in Subinats.

And Bazza, huge cost and major headaches...very long story of ongoing frustration with local shops. I would just say the cost would buy you a clean Bugeye STI. If you are still interested, message me.

I doubt it unless we go against Hulk. ;-)

Alec's monster will beat everything.

My car is merely a pretender. A Clubsprint/GT3RS type.

Well that mod list of yours is bloody incredible, deserves to be in this thread :)

Have you measured how much down-force yours is making via suspension travel logging?

Thanks.
It is proof of one thing: lack of common sense. :-)

Clubsprint WTAC rules. Not much aero tbh. Rear wing is completely flat as we don't have much downforce upfront.

The car is unfortunately still in development and not sorted yet, mainly due to the blown motor. Therefore I don't have enough information yet.

I will have more info soon but I doubt we have "major" downforce. It is there but not enough.
