Hello All,

Decided to make the decision based on the way the Survey was trending with an overwhelming positive response to adding the round.
As of 2PM today, 49 survey responses with 46 (93.5%+) voting in favour.

Please see the event above for registration and event information.

This round will replace the cancelled round 4

Thanks,
Kurt

Kurt, good call. What class should I nominate for my car on the PIARC form (A to J)? As you know its in clubman class running R-spec tyres. Thanks.

Good question, we wont be running on their classes - so is there an "other?" or something so you can identify you are WRX club.

I will send them a list of our entrants so we are grouped in our own class for timing.

There's no 'other'. And no obvious choice among hundreds. The 3 entrants so far have all picked different classes.

PIARC is running Group 5 Sprint Classes from A to K. I checked the regs. Talks about carburettors - what are they?

Class C looks right (road registered) except for the definition of "racing tyres". If "racing tyres" equals our R-spec tyres that puts my car in Class I along with open wheelers on slicks. Yikes, I'm glad you are organising us into our own class...

Hey Magoo,

Have a read of the event regulations for specific requirements (licensing etc.) :
http://www.islandmagic.net.au/wp-content/uploads/Oct-2016-Sprint-Regs.doc

as well as this beginners guide to motorsport:
http://wrx.com.au/page-1540678

Basic license requirements are a CAMS level 2 speed license as well as a Club membership of a CAMS affiliated club (like ours).

As this is not our event, i would suggest if you are interested in coming you organise your CAMS license prior to the event.

Thanks,
Kurt

Weird post but...

I have booked a 2 bed room in a 4 star hotel in Cowes for the 1st (to avoid the drive up on the day). If anyone (I know) would like to share, PM me.
