Thanks to Motorsport committee and all the volunteers who put on the day for us.
Track had no grip at all for the first session but that soon changed as rubber went down and so did the times.
Shame it got a bit hot in the afternoon but other than that another fun day out with a few PB's set by peeps and no major on track incidents.
Did anyone happen to get any pics ?

Anyways........
Kyle took Clubman in a very clean looking car with a 1:37.5 and went home early
Zhangzhi took Street in the Brrrzzz with a 1:41.7 and was still unhappy
Adam Nac took Sprint with a 1:35.6
and Andrew S took S/Sprint with a 1:39.7
I hope that the small crowd of enthusiastic competitors doesn't put the club off running Winton in the future

Yes we did have the luxury of relatively few entrants and as much track time as you could want.

I think a few people may have organised conflicting activities for the long weekend.

Thank you to the organisers and volunteers once again. It was a good low fuss day.

Yeah I agree, great day!

Driving up to Winton and doing 4 flying laps isnt ideal but first time out in this car & first fast laps since going over the wall...... It was just great to be back out there & the new car felt strong!

Hello All,

Had a ball - wish i was running too!

Thanks for Andrew, Rob & Shane for hands on help all day running the event.

We undertook Mod-scrutineering on all cars that were around later in the day.

The class ladders have now been updated to reflect the results from Saturday.

See you all at the next one

Thanks,
Kurt

Thanks again to the club and all those Kurt mentioned for helping out, because without them there will be no Club and the fantastic track days available to us. :D And Steve thanks for the mention haha, I had high expectations that day as I am bench marking against other 86 / BRZs that have done competitive times there, and a tricky day to get the tyres into the sweetspot hence slight disappointment. But had so much fun as always at Winton which is a fantastic race track, hope we keep going back and more people sign up to it . Just cannot understand why the lack of interest, could well be the hot weather forecast?

Also forgot to say in such heat there were still some really good times so congrats to those who did PBs, the next round would be even better! Also want to say Kyle's new STI RAR looks like a beast. One of those cars I would purchase emotionally.

And Steve this video here - https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=TjQ7zBnFBZU&t=26s is the main reason why I was slightly disappointed for the day haha. :D

Damm
Bad luck there, smooth fast looking lap and no reward for it.
Doesnt look like Tampered Motorsport are running at Winton before our August round either so you might have to wait till then unless another club invites us along

Winton has its own sprint series and round 2 is on the 25th of march anyone can enter. I did the last one and will be entering round two, its a good fun day with all kinds of cars on the track.

Anyone seen any pics from last week?

Wouldn't mind saving a pic of the first time out!
