Hi Ron,
Pretty much any afternoon but it would have to be booked in as things change by the minute.

Just wondering when you are back at work in 2012, looking to get my front windows tinted. I rang you few weeks back but you were flat out the whole of that week and then I got tied up with work. I use my car for work so afternoon appointments suit me best as I live on the other side of town in the west.

Thanks in advance

Roh

Back now for the new year but I've worked all through the main break days to catch up and I've done that.

Hi Rob,

I purchased my car from a guy in Ballarat and the drivers side window tint is scratched. I believe I have the documents of the original tinting job, are you able to match the tint and replace my front window tint? If so, how much would I be up for?
I have a MY06 WRX Wagon.

Thanks

Scott

Hi Rob, Do you do onsite tinting of cars? Got two cars that require tinting.

Thanks,

No I don't as you can never get an on site environment clean enough.

I can give you a contact in the ACT (personally don't know them to voutch for) but I can ask my importer who has appointed a couple of Solartint agencies up there and find out which one is the better.

I'd really appreciate that if you wouldn't mind mate!
I've always used Solartint Fyshwick in the past but they've recently changed to a new franchise & not sure if their staff/quality has changed & don't want to chance it.
Looking for something as dark as possible while still being legal. Cheers!

Hey has anyone had their front windows tinted on their wrx, having only rears at the moment in a black car is just more added heat :|
Mainly wondering how did they come up? Did they stand out too much compared to the factory tint?

Daniel.

You will never be able to match the factory rear installed privacy glass for a few reasons.
1. There are 3 different colours of glass within your vehicle.
2. There is no film manufacturer anywhere around the globe that can match the uniqueness of privacy glass.
3. The light level and hue of the factory glass can't be replicated.

All I can do is install a 35% film in a Charcool grade and that comes up pretty well.

Rob did the front windows (and sunroof) on my black Forester, and he is right, you wont be able to completely replicate the Privacy Glass on the front, but it still looks great!

It certainly looks (and feels) better with some form of tint on it, compared to no tint on it at all!

If you are still umming and ahhing about it, ill try and find a pic of mine to show the difference.

The contact you need is Solartint Woden on 62823700 or Solartint Belconnen 62518750.
That is the word from the Madico Head office in sydney.

Apparently your old contact had their franchise agreement terminated some years ago when it was found out that they were buying someone elses film....not good.

I think I'll just get it done with what hes suggested, too hot not to have some sort of tint on the fronts and sunroof!

Hi Rob,

Don't want to read through 7 pages of posts so apologies if this question has already been asked.

I've seen some cars with very dark tints on the rear side windows. Is this legal? What about the rear window?

I'm considering getting these made as dark as possible providing it is legal.
