Hi Rob,

how much can i expect to pay to get a darkest tint on my 03 Subaru STi?

Thanks

Hi Hans,
Are you are in Perth?
If so, that state is the graveyard of window films and installations are the poorest I've ever seen throughout the country and as a result prices would vary accordingly.
I would suggest it could be anywhere between $275 to $350.

If you are after my Madico manufacturer which I would strongly suggest, contact the NSW national distributor on 1800225069 for a dealer near you.
You will need to specify the Charcool product for that type of WRX.
Regards,
Rob.

Hi Rob,

I have a 2000 Forester with mis-matched existing tint. Fronts were replaced recently and dont match the rear!

Can you quote me on removal of existing and install of darkest legal please?

Cheers,

Mike.

I'll do the removal for free and now allow $130 for the doors at the front in the film you want.

Rob.

Hi Rob,

I have a 2006 Mini Cooper and I need the driver side window re-tinted to match the rest of the car. There is current tint on there which will have to be removed as well.

How much would all that cost?

Thanks.

Hi,
Allow $85. Do you know what the original film is?

Hi Rob,

I have a My99 Hatch that needs the factory tint removed and tinted with your darkest legal tint (35% I believe?)

Just wondering what this job would set me back, located in S.E Suburbs.

Cheers, Tim.

Hi Tim,
I'm doing a lot of these redos lately where it's been obviously poor quality product fitted in the past.
Allow $352 for the new product and $100 for the horrible removal.
and at least a full on half day.

Rob.

Wow that is old Steve and should be inspected before any film is even considered fitting it to that type of aged vehicle.

I do have a virtually clear film that is "spectrally selective."
What that means is that it is super high tech stuff which filters 99% of the UV and rejects 52% of the infrared yet barely noticeable on the glass....not possible with conventional films without looking dark.
This film takes out the harmful, hot and damaging rays out of the sun's solar spectrum whilst allowing visible light to be wanted.

Cost would have to be based on inspection.
Regards,
Rob.

I'd say much the same for the WRX with the Onyx 35% metal film and that cost for club members is $352.00

Hey Rob,

As you can see we still haven't done the tint
Just too confirm, the car has x7 windows all up, x4 for the door, x2 little ones between the rear & hatch, finally the hatch itself.

I'll see if I can finally push things along

Hi,
If you have exposed the adhesive, use methylated spirits (metho) and tissues soaked in it and rub the hell out of it.
As soon as it gums up the tissues, get a new one and start all over again.
That will remove the glue.

Rob.

they wouldnt even call the place who did it to prove it was legal.. they made me take it off..

Well that's probably been the answer to the problem.
The film's light transmission has been deemed to be darker than 35% and you have been pinged for it.
Make the installer redo it no charge because why should you be disadvantaged?
They've bent the law and its you now carrying the can.
