Melbourne Motor Show

Postby tinter » Fri Jul 01, 2011 8:10 am

Couldn't say anything until now but have a look at the Ford stand and check out the Prodrive Falcon GT there in black that I have tinted.....a concept car.

And peer underneath and see why this thing is LOUD.

My work had to be done on site last Monday (pain in the rear to do this) at Prodrive/FFV in Campbellfield.
Hated doing it there out of my controlled environment but it came up really good.

I made the colour suggestion and depth of light transmission (USA Madico's Charcool 35%)which initially wasn't the way they were going to go but in the end my choice was exactly how they wanted the car to appear in the end.

Rob.

Or the "Other" one they have, which I didn't think was going to go to the motor show.

Is that the one that I have seen driving around my area with car bra's on it, that beats the M6 to 100?

Nah Ford just built the worlds most efficient drive train. Thats why most of those cars are dynoing around the 330kw mark. Best so far is 334kw from a 3 week old car.

Exactly.

If they decide to do it, it will be a limited build.

Most likely what you are seeing here will become the FG 2 in a few months time. But I doubt there will be corner mount coolers. All speculation naturally.

I would have to agree, $90k on a Ford that'll drop to about the mid $70's after you drive it off the floor? Nice looking car and great figures on paper. But I know I'd spend that kind of dosh on something else.

Wow, completely missed this thread! Great job on the tint Rob! It (and the car) looks amazing!

I do think it somehow is a bit of a teaser to an upcoming model - possibly the rebirth of the HO.

Ford finally have done the right thing and put wider rubber on it. Unsure about the suspension setup, but probably larger swaybars etc aswell.

They just have to hurry up and make production versions of it now, was one of the best looking cars at the show!
