Not really.

Its still not an STi, the VIN would not indicate that it is an STi, therefore the badge should be left off still.

No
Its just not right for a valued member, in fact committee member like Herbs to lower himself to the level of the Imported car owners club. Next he would be putting purple LED's in his TMIC intake and playing loud doof doof.

+1

I don't think someone's putting an STi badge on a non STi would lower their standard into the imported car owners club (<whatever that means). I think people should have better issues to deal with than judging someone for adding STi badge into their car!!

Your car looks nice with the grill and the STi badge. It's your call whether to keep it or remove it.

Regardless, it looks better than your 3M Black Contact Adhesive Royce, at least its not bubbling! :P

BTW - I bought an STi grille. The badge is staying.

hmm yes my grille is starting to look tacky.
If I buy an STI grille without the badge can I get it cheaper?

My theory is that people get annoyed because they paid top dollar for an STi that has STi badges. To the untrained eye, it now makes all other cars that have ebay badges on them look like STI's.
Personally I wouldnt do it. But, if you want to pull up next to an EVO at the lights and get flogged everytime, and have them think that they smoked an STI.. then go ahead. Its just embarassing for yourselves. :)

Like putting a wrx bonnet on an rx :(
And then camry's flog you..
