Turbo / no turbo. That's all that matters. :p

Not a fan of the eyelids? I rekon it makes it look tougher IMO.

Yeah wheels are nice, do you know their weight?

What suspension are you on? It's stance is nice!

Might as well give us a mod list/dyno numbers? :)

Thanks man I appreciate it. Wheel weight i not sure, but there lighter than the standard wrx 17s that came on a bugeye so it should give you some idea. Suspension is MCA blue coil overs, running them stiff as possible as I had to roll guards to fit such negative offset and stiffen up coils to stop rubbing on inside rear bumper, although it still rubs on large bumps and a full car load with shopping in boot etc, so I might need to camber the rears in more to prevent that. Rear strut brace,Cat back exhaust and rest is virtually bone stock, never dyno'd. Want to do some more mods but it's reliability is bullet proof ATM and I don't want to risk that just for more power. Iam happy with it ATM. If anything might just run a bigger turbo or just tune it to pass the 16 psi boost cut as its running 15 on stock turbo. Handles so bloody well but, it's like a go kart :)

Nice! Yeah I am looking at buying MCA coil overs soon. I was going to get blues but when I contacted MCA they suggested I get the purple series because they have slightly better peformance.

Do you think the blues perform fine? I would much rather just get blues.

Man the blues are fantastic, unless your driving on the circuit quite abit, id go blues, no need to spend extra if you don't have to. There good for everyday driving and the handling improvements and braking improvements are brilliant. So much so that no matter what car Iam buying in the future, straight to MCA for coils. I expected handling to increase as you would as your running a better suspension setup. But what blew me away was the improvement under braking, as you eliminate the forward body roll as well so the energy goes straight to the pads and disks instead of loosing it in body roll. There customer service was fantastic and they make everything in house to suit your needs, I got them to fit my coils and the built them with my spring rates I wanted and fitted them plus adjusted the height and camber and did a wheel alignment all for $2100 drive away. Just had to go to Geebung for them to do it, the quality is right up there with expensive Japanese brands, I can't rave about them enough tbh, a brilliant upgrade and money defiantly well spent. No need for expensive jap brands when they make them just as good here in Australia, keep the money and jobs here mate.

Yeah I hear ya mate, I just forked out $550 today on my bugeye. O2 sensor replace my in bank 1, full service and have a look at my timing belt, which is fine for another 10 thousand then it's a big one. $900 for
Belt and full pulley kit + water pump and general service, not looking forward to that one.

Thats why I service my car myself :)
Every 5500km I do oil/oem oil filter & upper engine cleaner. With the distance I drive for work thats every 5 weeks or so. Works out to be $100ish per service.

I did a Gates timing belt kit on my WRX for $200. Its a pita (especially when you have no help) but worth the savings. The kit I got did not include the water pump but normally the pump should be okay till 200K... mine was.
You can buy a kit with the water pump however...https://www.rallysportdirect.com/part/timing-belts/gat-tckwp328a-gates-timing-belt-kit-w-water-pump
Its really not a hard job, if you can change your spark plugs you can change a timing belt/pulleys :)

I used to be able to do all that sort of stuff until I broke a vertebrate in my spine at work, now I can't behind over or anything like that without being in a fair amount of pain so I just pay people to do the work. Not worth being basically bed ridden for the next week as i to sore to even get out of bed.

I reckon for a few snags on the barbie and a couple of child beverages a few could get together and help out, some to do the work , some to watch, and some to criticise.

I'd help too. I did my gc8 back in 2015 with full Subaru kit with water pump, pulleys, tensioner, crank seal, so know how it goes. It's definitely possible solo, but two people would be sweet. :)

But that's cool if you get the shop to do it, great to have a trusted specialist. Ours up here is Russel at Subievolution.

Yeah I did mine solo... was good fun :giggle:

I can second Subievolution, only been there once to get main seals done but they were great people to deal with.
