the only thing i will ad to this is that each speakers installation diameter is different, so when using this template first use the template that came with the speakrs to cut out the speaker opening hole, then you the template above to finish off.

I'm new to this and unsure where I post my query.

I am upgrading sound system and want to make sure the install goes smoothly. Just put a brand new Pioneer DEHP7050BT CD TUNER MP3 TUNER IPOD USB BLUETOOTH and want to upgrade door speakers, put in amp and sub. I'm right with the amp and subs but want to put in speakers that will basically slot straight in with out the need for spacers etc. If possible. I can't seem to find the dimensions of the exisisting speakers and don't really want to take door trims off twice. So far I have one person say to me that 6" or 16cm diameter and 42mm (depth restriction without spacers). Is this correct?

And just to clarify the system I am thinking of putting in:

PIONEER
GM6300F 4 CHANNEL AMP $264

TSA1672S 3 WAY SPEAKERS (2 pair) $152

TSSW1241D Subwoofer $224

Just want to make sure this is for all rexy's. Not just a certain year or model.

I'm getting a mate (professional) to make up the front speaker rings - if anyones interested?
They will be $50 a pair and will be resin coated & painted black to stop moisture absorbtion.
They will suit 6" speakers and will have an internal mounting diameter of 127mm.
Kindly let me know ASAP as he will be making them over the next few days.

Most speakers people buy are 6.5" though. youd be bettter off getting jukebox ? to make them for 6.5's and one set smaller for your speakers (if you have 6 inch)

Jukebox can make either, but 6" will be easier as that's what my template will be.

For MY11 Non-Prem owners....the front and rear door speakers are 6.5"....The rubbish set of SONYs that I bought (and now uninstalled) fit directly onto the factory mounts/spacers on all the doors...that is, a direct swap.
