Dynamat

Postby L1TEW8 » Tue Jul 17, 2012 12:02 pm

Hi all,

I am thinking it might be time to dynamat the majority of the boot including the lid and possibly the front doors. When looking to buy a decent amount of dynamat where is the best place to go to get a good deal?

Also has anyone else dynamatted the boot? did you notice a increase is bass and sound quality? Would you reccomend this or better off just upgrading the sub for better sound etc?

Cheers

Marc

I may know the rep. So I may have got a good deal. So I may have got it from there.

Its way better than dynamat. Much more flexiable.

the options given above sounds good

about a year ago I bought a bulk pack from Solavis througuh ebay for $150 for a3.4m sq, it was enough for all 4 doors and boot lid with spare
Had the same specs as Dynamat

They don't seem to sell on ebay, but they are based in melb should still be available

If you end up doing it, whatever you chose. for best results:

Line the inner door skin (inside the holes), outer door skin (where the plastic lining is) and door trim of the fronts at least
This makes the door very solid, stops vibrations from coming through and audio sound bouncing around

The rear door you can get away with just the inner door skin and the door card if you want.

Uses a bit more product, but well worth it for improvement in vibrations/rattles and sound qulaity

sound deadening my 04 was one of my most favorite mods and I wished I discovered it earlier

I am looking at doing this as well and found elite-electronics.com.au had both stinger brand. Is there any place in Melbourne (west) selling these product at good price? The site selling stinger rkxdk door kit (6 sheets of 12" x 24") for $94 free delivery. I think it will be enough for 4 doors on 06 wrx. I had emailed the solavis people regarding a quote on their product, just not sure if they are as good as stinger or dynamat
