Suspension mods

I have desided to go with the below . What are your thoughts?

- Tein S-Techs
- Whiteline 22mm adj front bar
- Whiteline 24mm adj rear swaybar
- Alloy links
- Mounts
- ALK (comfort)

I've done a couple of searchs on ALK's and have read that they can make the ride quite firm, I dont want a really harsh ride, but I don't mind if it is a little firm. Can anybody help anyone using the Whitle line ALK (comfort)?

I am undesided wheather to do the springs and swaybars myself or pay someone.

Anybody from the geelong area recommend a shop?

I hate tein s tech's in my DC2R great spring, although this time for my03 wrx i have got some H&R's off Tuspeed as the H&R's have been highly recommed by alot of ppl!
will install next week home iam as happy!!!!!

I went the Tein Super Street Coilovers, Whiteline 24mm adjustable rear sway bar (& heavy duty links) and Whiteline ALK. The installer (Inline Steering in Queanbeyan NSW) reckons the front sway bar is unnecessary of everything else is set up right. Did a track day on Monday at Wakefield Park in Goulburn NSW & was very happy with the handling. I went full coilovers instead of replacing springs due to having to get the factory struts replaced numerous times under warranty due to siezing.

I found the ride slightly firmer with the ALK but certainly not unbearable even given I do around 40 thousand kms per year including lots of country driving on very ordinary roads.

I'd take the H&R's anyday over the Tein S Tech's.
Quite a few people have commented that the S Tech's are not well rated to the stock struts.

I think its the 'race' ALK that is the harsh one, from all reports ive read about the comfort one, theres only been a minimal increase, if any in NVH (Noise, Vibration, Harshness). Should be fine.

I havent had the S-tech's to compare ny H&Rs to, so I cant say which is better, but I definetly cannot complain about my H&Rs.

Most people with H&R's or S-Tech's seem to think they're great! (as has been said in numerous threads recently...)

So in the end whatever your final choice is, i'm sure you'll be satisfied as both are a great upgrade over the standard springs

Thanks heaps guys, I have asked Adam to get me the tein's so will stick with them. Have to wait abit as he is getting married, but im in no big hurry. BTW Congradulations Adam and good luck on the weekend.
