Double click for Passenger door unlock - 2011 wrx

Hi there,
Does anyone no if the you can turn off the Doulbe click for the passenger door unlock on the 2011 WRX. It is driving me bonkers at them moment, well I should say it is driving my partner crazy.

i'm pretty sure you can't. didn't your 08 do the same though?

There is a procedure for disabling the double lock function, its listed in the handbook, I've tried it but buggered if I can disable it :(

Why disable it though?

That's one thing I'm unsure of, the 08 wrx doesn't have that functionality :P

My mothers statesman does the same thing, does it unlock all doors if you hold in the button for about 1 second? I find you get used to it..

Its not me who has to get used to it. My partner keeps on trying to open the door before the second unlock.

I'm sorry but just because the passenger door is locked isnt really going to save me if someone is going to try and get in the car. Touch wood.

08 STi does the same thing. Very annoying... will try looking through the manual one day! :coffee:

my10, my11 yes you can turn off both the double lock unlock option and the only drivers door open option.
I carried this out today on the my10 and my11 to be sure.
my08 i know it is not possible, i honestly do not remember my09 wrx or sti. I will have to recheck and advise.

it can be changed at any dealer. My10 and my11. takes about 10 mins.... punk

Nah u need the select monitor to access the body control module which gives us a massive list of options......i wont tell u anymore because ill get pestered at work, lol to change all these functions!

yeah bit disapointing as i thought we could. Funny thing is the my08 never had that feature. Now that its there people want it turned off! havnt u guys ever owned a Commodore :whistle: :giggle:
