I may not have used the correct wording - I was trying to sound technical :coffee:

I'll be looking for a Mobil station that sells Synergy - anyone know of any in the SE suburbs?

155kw stock he said.. For comparison a 2003-2005 WRX only makes about 135kw stock.

and just a correction, its a 2009 model, 2008 makes the same amount of power as previous years. The 2009 got a bigger turbo

I actually went into that store (Cheltenham Rd) and spoke to the attendant. He assured me the PULP 98 was Synergy 8000, which I always assumed was. They refill their tanks every week. I'll find out for certain next week when I get the retune.

Getting my retune done today on Mobil Synergy 8000 fuel :)

Hopefully get a higher KW / torque reading than what it originally did on a bad batch of BP Ultimate.

Pick it up tomorrow. The original tune got me 168 KW atw as seen here:

i noticed that Rols graph his car peaks at 5k and holds all the way to red line. Where as Mikes holds between 4200rpm to 5100rpm.
Is this due to a different turbo?

yes the 08 stock has a TD04 which is small and runs out of puff quick whilst the 09+ has a VF52
but now i have the VF52 so its completely different and more powerful

Chatted to a few guys at HP-F today Mikes. They're very impressed with what they got out of your car!

My retune only pulled another 3KW atw! I was expecting more than that. Then again, the original tune got me 168 on bad fuel from 155, I guess thats the difference between bad and good fuel.

My next step would be to put a downpipe and retune (maybe even an after market intercooler)

You must be loving the 200KW atw!! The 171 im pulling now is definately nice also......

I am so jealous. I cant afford a vf52 so i was looking at a td04p20. I can get a new one for around 700.
I thought about a second hand vf22 or 34 as suggested by other on this forum. But i not comfortable buying second hand.

im loving it, but i've been stuck in perth for most of the week, waiting at the airport now to come home and drive it again!

I think if you upgrade the dump pipe you should be able to get 200 aswell.

Mrblack the vf52 wouldn't fit your car, if anything go for a used VF48 (My VF52 was used, but you can easily check to see if its good or bad)

Springs & swaybars will allow you to control the power you already have - which is plenty! punk
