Postby Advertising Manager » Mon Jun 01, 2009 10:12 am

I'd like to welcome Presitige Paintwerks on board as new club supporters!

Some of you may recognise the forum username "Sime" - Simon - who has been a long time club member - many of you have had your car detailed or painted by him already - well now he's opened a brand new shop!

So welcome to Simon and his team. Be sure to support them!

Thanks all!

The only reason why my premises has taken so damn long to finish has been due to all the work that keeps coming in. I know, it's a good problem to have.

I'm so proud to admit that pretty much the entire justification for turning Prestige Paintwerks into a commercial entity and me securing my premises is due to the support I have had from WRX.com.au members. It's only right that I engage as an official club supporter!

I'll advise when the official opening is, but for now, I'm just trying to get all the work completed! It's pretty hard to do everything when you're on your own. I'll have to employ some help very soon.

Cheers,
Sime

Gday Sime, good to see you get this new business up & running. I'm continually amazed at the business these internet forums can generate.

I do have a question; do you do any panel beating work as well? Or is it just spray painting? I'd imagine you would address fairly superficial damage in order to paint panels?

Hey there,

Thanks!

Yes, I do basic panel beating. I can replace/align all bolt-on panels, repair cracks, dents and splits on plastic parts such as skirts and bumpers, do fibreglass/carbon fibre repairs, and can remove dents that the dent guy can't get to. I have a pin welder than welds a metal pin onto the panel so you can pull out dents (obviously the panel will need repainting afterwards). I can also mount ground effects/body kits and can mould them into the body and bumpers for that seamless look.

Basically, I can do most things except major collision repair, welding and jig work.

Cheers,
Sime

The attention to detail and time spent perfecting every bit was amazing and it's really good to see people really passionate about what they do. Will be in contact re: painting of a spoiler if I ever get one too . Will recommend your work to others Sime, cheers.
