which exchaust to put for my11 wrx

Postby gangstar76 » Wed Sep 28, 2011 9:44 pm

I was enquiring about the best exchaust to put on my11 wrx.

I want sound and performance.

I am having a hard time finding exchausts for my model, so far I can only find xforce and xsturbo, but I think they are chinese.

I think a japanese one would be best but I can't seem to find any.

TurboXS seem the popular choice on here from what I have seen so far. I'd also be very careful with anything from the US as there are issues with some of the dump pipes and the steering knuckle for the OZ models.

Sedan or Hatch ? FYI, TurboXS are re-designing their MY11 Sedan Exhaust, which is due soon. Hatch is good to go now.

Maybe I should have been more specific. Certainly brands currently marketed in Aus like TurboXS are not an issue. But, not all US Exhausts are tested for AUDM models, and the fine print states only USDM.

For example, I know from personal experience that the current US Invidia dump pipe for a MY11 gets up close and personal with the steering column. I understand this is being addressed with an updated version.

I have a sedan.

I spoke with the guys at xsturbo they said they are not sure of when the exchaust will be ready they are still working on it, he said it is making too much noise.

The xforce will be out late october I was told by them and that it will cost $1980 compared to the xs turbo at $1500.

I have IS indy sports looking for a exchaust for me in japan, I think this is my best option.

turboxs and xforce are chinese, milltek is american.

I was told by milltek that there might be some issues with their exchaust because it is built to suit left hand drive, but I had no idea that xforce and xs turbo had the same problem.
