2011 S Edition Forester Detail and Opti-Coat

Postby Immacreflections » Wed Aug 10, 2011 1:05 pm

This is a recent detail I did, and wanted to demonstrate a little bit of the talent in products we have in Australia.

So here goes Australia vs Japan forget the world cup this is way more important . Oh and there is a little bit of germany in there also .

This was a new car prep and opti-coat windows, paint, wheels, and exhaust tips. It is hard to see any corrections as there were only fine marring that didn’t show up in pictures so I didn’t bother.

Bowdens Own, an Australia company who have a huge interest in car care products and manufacture their own. After all they do have a HUGE collection of classic cars, they are also based in QLD.

I used the following:
Body Gel
Naked Glass
Agent Orange (degreaser)
Bug and Tar
Leather Lover
Vinyl Care
Metal Polish
Paint Cleanser

These can all be found and purchased at http://www.bowdensown.com.au .

I also used Menzerna polishes, Iron-X, and Opti-coat as the sealant of choice.

I use a lot of Bowdens and the purpose of this is to show people you don’t always have to look across international waters for good products and pay for fancy names to get good products.

As the car arrived, a little dirty but mainly just dust on the car.

Bowdens Body Gel, this is a thick gel concentrate and uses bugger all per wash with the added advantage of being pH neutral. It also suds up great!

Iron-X dwelling on the wheels.

Foam bath lifting the dirt off.

Bowdens Tar and Bug

Agent Orange was used on the wheels to pull the dirt from the tires and wheel well.

After and foam and rinse.

Bowdens Cleanser with LC red pad, this was used prior to the Opti-coat application.

Vinyl Care used on the interior….

Followed with Leather Love, this was the first time I used Leather Love and it was fantastic leaving a matte finish instead of shine.

Thanks Kev it came up great and the opti-coat will really add a good hard coating that wont wash off but has to be abrasively polished off! which is great to have on soft subaru paint.

the sun flower seeds are an old favorite snack of mine from when I lived in the US and played baseball :) I jsut bout 1.8kg of them :) YUMM

A HDR Pic I like

As Harbs & Kev have said Mitch, simply awesome work, even on a new car, you can just see the difference

Wow - that is truly amazing! First, what an awesome car and then, what a great job you did there! Truly unbelievable.

I also don't get what the sunflower seeds were for but maybe that is some sort of secret technique. ;) btw: technique... There is a coat made of flower extract that makes the rain and snow just pearl off. Does anybody know about that and what kind of oil / coat that is? I have this flower vouchers from a car company and I would like to try that out on my own car since it does never seem to get clean enough. -.-

Really unsure in what you are asking....I can tell you now there would be no flower oil extract that will do as you say or do better than a synthetic sealant at the job mind you better than a carnauba based wax.

without pointing fingers it almost seems like a type of advertising to this flower company, so if I dont see a reply by day end tomorrow I will be deleting the above post.
