Looking really good! I assume the transponder went to the usual spot?

The drivers seat alcantara is looking pretty clean. I tried some of the Swissvax alcantara cleaner today with minimal results. But with all the stories of alcantara being ruined by various cleaning methods, I'm trying to be very careful lest I make it worse.

Cheers :)

Car mods stock them from memory.

Thanks man :)

No Transponder, the Autowatch takes car of the immobilizer so any key cut will work.

Hired the carpet cleaner from Woolies and did the seats about 4 years ago, they don't see a lot of use so probably why they look pretty decent for their age.

Few minor updates;

Image

Found the last 3 Defi's to have a full matching set of 6 - EGT, Boost, Water + Oil Temp, Fuel + Oil Pressure

The pillar ones will be cleaned up and polished, plus the outer ring painted black to match the center ones

Currently on the hunt for a dual 60mm pillar pod (impossible to find) and to keep it *legal* will be running one gauge in the aircon vent or in one of the custom fab pods I have that sit on the dash near the bottom of the A pillar.

OnBoost autos listed an 05 STI wheel which I impulse bought - very happy with it

Image

New Pioneer double DIN rounds off the cockpit nicely

Flush mount reverse camera fitted;

Had to go low due to ZERo room on the rear of my car haha

Image

Result;

Also due to having excessive free time this week I ordered this;

Image

Engine Wise;

New Ultrex 3" TBE fitted, oval/angle tip to quieten things down a bit and draw *slightly* less attention to myself :P

Initial dyno run saw 311 HP @ hubs with the newer ratio gerabox/diff = 3.54

Sean worked his magic and ended up with ~340 HP @ hubs and 430nm

Room for more but it's a daily so on the safe side of the fence

Next up is Brembo repaint.

Feeling bold so I'm thinking something along these lines;

Big O will be handling the task

That's a lot of gauges now!
Personally I'm more partial to the tiffany blue / turquoise callipers myself. Perhaps just a minuscule drop darker than the bottom pic with silver flake added? Would probably contrast really well against the black on white.

Small update.

Long story short late last year I had a p-plater fail to give way as I was going through an intersection - end result was a writted off Bugeye.

Sad times and painful insurance dealings I eventually was ready to buy a new STI;

Waited a while and nothing popped up then I seen this advertised on Facebook.

And picked it up the next day...

The good;
-92000 kms
-mint interior
-very well looked after exterior/paint
-minor work done
-perfect platform for me to build on

The bad;
-It's black and it doesn't live in a fully enclosed garage

Luckily I live with a gentleman who specializes in keeping cars clean.

Mods are currently minor - Inlet, 3" X-Force TBE, Hot Air intake, obnoxious BOV, Full Chargespeed kit and a rather laggy tune for a VF35.

My plans consist of essentially swapping all my old goodies onto the car, new rather serious fuel setup, and get it on a dyno.

Car will be treated to;

-PW FMIC (blacked out cooler and piping)
-PW 72mm Cold Air
-Perrin Inlet and SFB
-Blouch back on
-Headers back on
-Raceworks Surge Setup - single 460 in tank and 2 in the surge
-Fuel Rails and FPR
-ID1300's
-Braided -6 Teflon front to back
-Powered by corn

Aiming for more stealth this time round - blacked out engine bay, sensible height and wheel fitment with close to 400 WHP.

Chargespeed kit - side skirts and rear spats will be coming off, as will the daft wheel spacers currently fitted.

Will be on the hunt for some nice Jap wheels, the world of 5x114.3 is great for such a plan.

REVNURAZR plates will be going to keep with this theme (finally got tired of a target on my back and matured a bit)

Here are some lousy pics, will snap some more when I get home after it's had a fresh detail and the headlights have been corrected...

Installed the Koyo today as I was bored, black hoses are on order, the old ones were in poor condition so they were turfed.

Spacers off, headlights corrected and a bath;

Few other updates;

Parts at home awaiting fitment;

Blouch 1.5XTR 8cm
PSR UEL headers + up-pipe
PW FMIC w/ black core and piping
PW 72mm CAI
Perrin Inlet + SFB
Link G4 running the show

Last of the fuel system on the way, this now consists of;

ID1300x
Radium Engineering Fuel Rails
Turbosmart FPR1200
Walbro 460 in tank
Raceworks 2.8L Surge with 2 x 460's (second pump boost switched via Hobbs)
-6 PTFE feed and return

Will be doing most of the installation myself with some assistance for fueling, then towed to Justin @ BYE for a tuna.

Should see some decent figures with plenty of fuel and airflow. Will be running dedicated e85 (fingers crossed they keep a supply here)

Few other bits;

12 pin Deutsch used for going through the firewall for gauges - easy to remove if engine has to come out..

Image
Image

V1 and gauges installed;

Image
Image

Subtle solutions gauge bezel awaiting paint and holes for my EGT gauge and billet automotive switches;

Image

Fitted;

Image

KAP Industries bracket fitted, very pleased, perfect fitment thanks Russ;

Image
Image

Made a start on the sound system;

Pioneer AVH-X5800DAB
Apline PDX-5
Focal PSF165F up front
12AWG speaker cable
Boston Dynamics 12"sub

Amp mounted under passenger seat - blue carpet will be removed, not a very good match unfortunately;

Image

Hobbs switch for 3rd fuel pump;

Will be fitting the parts in the next few weeks, stay tuned for updates and results :D

Sorry to hear about the bug :(
The new car looks great, I like your work.
Flex fuel tune prehaps a solution to cope with unreliable E85 supply
Going the same way with my new engine

The Hobbs switch is activated by fuel pressure?

Boost pressure - switches at 18 PSI and turns on the 3rd fuel pump.

HUGE overkill for the current setup but I'm future proofing for down the track.

Was sorry myself haha, many years of work ruined very quickly.
Thanks, it's coming along. Was happy to start with a blank canvas and do it all right the first time.
Yeah will be running a flex fuel sensor, will run dedicated e85 unless we have a drought again
